Day 9: A Day of Fun for All

As Daddy had said, it was the weekend. Specifically, it was Saturday, and it was a day of fun for all of us. Daddy had a chance to upgrade the toilet so that it wouldn't break. He also started working on upgrading the magic screen, so that the picture would be sharper.
Mommy and I spent the day together. She put me into a stroller and walked with me.
My sister, Temeka, now had time to find those butterflies. So, she went out to search. She found a shiny rock a little ways behind our house, and then continued to search for those butterflies.
Mommy and I were passing by a spooky place. Mommy called it a cemetary. I call it something that I've seen from my bad dreams where boney creatures and colorful, transparent people float around.
Not far from the spooky place was the destination Mommy was taking us. It was cooler down here, and there was a lot of water.
During her search, Sis saw a creature on the ground called an iguana. She thought about picking it up and putting it down someone's pants, but she wanted to focus on catching those butterflies.
And catch she did. There were four types of butterflies she was searching for, and she found three of them.
Mommy and I were getting closer to where we would spend our day together. It was a building with a deck next to the large water.
I haven't forgotten about Daddy. He wanted to go out and have some fun too. He went to this building full of moving lights and pretty sounds. He called it a casino.
Daddy said it was a magical place where you spend some money, and play some games.
"Sometimes", he said, "you can get lucky and win some money too."
Daddy said it was for grown-ups only, though. For now, I'm quite content being out here with Mommy as she reads and studies her book.
Sis played a similar game to Daddy's. It also took money, and your chances of winning were about the same. This was one that kids could play, but sadly Sis didn't win anything.
Daddy stayed up late playing another grown-up game called Poker. I don't understand how it's played, but I remember Daddy saying that he lost $40 on it.
Temeka had invited a bunch of her schoolmates over for a slumber party. It sounded like fun, because they all played games until it was time for bed. Some of the children brought homework with them, and one had brought a computer to play games on.
Temeka and a few others had gone outside to run around and play tag "your it". One of the children was "it" most of the time, and her eyes glowed. I don't think I would want to be "it".
Eventually it got late, and the children pulled out their sleeping bags and went to bed in the front room. Daddy had moved the couch and magic screen earlier today, so there was room for them tonight.
Speaking of Daddy, he came home late and had a quick meal before going to bed himself.
It was a crowded house tonight, but it certainly put a happy end to this amazing day of fun for everyone. Good night!
