Day 16: Can I Get A Rain Check?

It was the start of another fun weekend, but it didn't go as Daddy planned. It was raining and hailing all day today. Daddy woke up early and went to the grocery store.
At the store, he bought a variety of fruits and vegetables for our cold box that he calls a fridge. After he learns some more recipes, he's going to cook some wonderful dishes for the family. Maybe I'll get do try some too?
Until then, Daddy still made his famous apple pancakes for breakfast. Temeka had played on the couch earlier, so she was all helmeted for the occasion. Together they discussed on alternate plans for the day due to the rain.
Before heading out, Mommy got all of the clean clothes out of the dryer. My blankets were in there too, so I get to enjoy the fresh smell of clean laundry.
Since it was raining really bad outside, we went to a place with many books. Daddy called it the library. When no one was looking, Temeka saw this as an opportunity to boobytrap some more computers with scary images. I also saw a baby a little bigger than me that had blue wings. I wonder if he knows Yellow Wings?
Daddy lay me down so that I could enjoy the surroundings. I've never been in the library before, so it was fantastic to look around and see the place -- even though I can't move from my spot.
After a little while, Daddy went to that casino before meeting us all at home. He noticed some new games that were added since the last time he visited.
Even though the rain spoiled our original plans for the day, it did not rain on his luck. On the very first machine, Daddy won the big jackpot of $5000. Now you can make Mommy happy and buy that new magic screen she wants.
Soon we were all back home and enjoying a relaxing evening.
The kitchen table was empty, so my sister took advantage of the opportunity and reigned as the new queen.
I'm not sure what Daddy had planned for today, but it was still a very enjoyable day. I went everywhere my family went, and I got to see them at play. Mommy was the librarian, Daddy beat the machines, and Sis was queen of it all.
