Day 18: Daddy Brings His Work Home

The morning started with the magic screening breaking again. Maybe it was because Temeka's friend, Zack, had it on all night? Or perhaps it is simply an old device? Daddy has had it with the machine.
	He was not about to let it spoil his morning, though. He laid down on his bed and read one of his recipe cooking books before going into work. He told me all about the yummy recipe.
After Mommy and Daddy discussed the situation with the magic screen, Mommy came home after work with a brand new machine and reorganized the front room a little. She even bought a new, comfortable couch to enjoy the magic screen with. Mommy was definitely happy to have a new machine now.
	This was Daddy's first day back to work after the redesign of the fire station that Mommy had pushed for with the government officials. Daddy was busy most of the day doing maintenance work, but he told us about all the goodies in the kitchen such as a deep fryer, ice cream maker, chocolate fountain, and hot beverage machine. Daddy told us about the bacon ice-cream cone he made.
He also mentioned that the room with the magic screen was replaced with new, more comfortable furniture.
	And lastly, Daddy told us about the new beds that were placed upstairs. He said that he would be able to sleep better at night if he had to stay over there for a few days. Daddy said there was more new stuff at the fire station, but he didn't get a chance to see it all and will tell us about it tomorrow.
Mommy was enjoying some deep fried cheese sticks while waiting for Daddy to come home with the surprise event he had wanted to do the past couple of days. Sis was excited that the rain had stopped hours ago.
	Daddy's surprise was rockets and colorful explosions to celebrate the end of the season. He set off many neat explosions of colors, worms, and things that spun around.
One of them exploded and started a fire, though. It was not what Daddy had planned, he didn't like having to bring his work home.
	Daddy was very good as a fireman, though, and he had that fire out in no time.
Before bed, I could hear Mommy reading Sis a story. Mommy was very nice to read it in our room, so that I could hear too. Good night!
