Day 44: Treasures of Life

Before going into work, Marlon looked inside his treasure chest of the goodies he had collected when he was in France. He missed France. By Wright's holy name, he wanted to go any place else but here. He wasn't sure why. Didn't he have a good job? Friends? Something wasn't right about this town, and it bothered him more and more.
He ignored his sorrows by focusing his attention on gambling before going in to work.
Once at work, Marlon pulled out one of his vintage bottles of juice from France.
He drowned out his sorrows with their fruity, juicy taste. One glass after another.
Sorrows were the furthest thing from Temeka's mind. She and Zack came home together to play.
Meggan had invited another acquaintance to her home to get to know her more. She worked in the medical facility, and this gave Meggan a chance to learn a worker's perspective on how things were going there.
Temeka was very proud of her accomplishments in Scouts, so she showed off her skills and badges to Zack. Zack secretly wished he could be in Girl Scouts.
Zack wanted to play hopscotch with Temeka before having to head home. She noticed that he played better hopscotch than some of the other girls she knew.
