Day 35: Discoveries Old and New

Marlon woke up more refreshed than he had ever felt before. This is marvelous, he thought. He went downstairs to read one of the new cookbooks he bought yesterday next to the warm fireplace.
Engrossed in his book, Marlon nearly shot into the ceiling when the fire alarm blared behind him! Why does my work follow me? Marlon wondered.
After he put the fire out, Marlon decided to get out of the building and explore. He was told there was a beautiful art museum, so that sounded like the best place to begin. The sunny weather had come to an end, however, and it was raining throughout France.
The weather didn't bother Marlon that much, since he was more interested in exploring different shops and locations today. He was marveled by the beautiful art and sculptures in the museum.
Hmmm, Marlon was considering, that would look nice in our front yard. I wonder if I can find a fountain like that back home?
Another marvel Marlon saw was an army of statues. He had heard of these before. The Ancient Army League of Brown Soldiers or something like that.
Another site that Marlon visited today was a winery. Marlon never considered making wine before, and he thought this would be an excellent thing to try once he got back home.
He had heard of a burial site not far from the winery, so he decided to check it out. There was an entrance under the hill that looked interesting, so he went inside to explore.
Marlon was curious and a bit nervous inside this tomb. He saw a pickaxe to the side and began working to clear a pile of debris, so that he could further explore inside the tomb.
As he explored, Marlon found many treasures.
He also found some disturbing scenes such as bones to travelers who never made it out. Marlon shook off the fear and figured that the bones were purposely put here to scare off adventurers.
Marlon had a feeling it was getting late. He was getting very tired, but thankfully there was a tent already set up in the tomb. He got ready to lay down and sleep, hoping that he'd still be alive the next day to explore.
