Temeka was in a rather, good mood. In some ways, you'd think she was a different person. Singing in the shower, dancing to the radio, and cheerfully going to school. Was she planning something sneaky?
Marlon had been planning something, but it wasn't sneaky. The bistro had asked him awhile ago to pick up a recipe from Paris, France, and they would reward him handsomely. Now seemed to be as good a time as any.
Marlon packed lightly. He never liked to carry a lot of stuff. He figured he could get what he needed when he got to whereever he was going.
And he was going to Paris! Marlon checked in at what was called "base camp".
He was taking in the beautiful weather and the fresh air. Marlon noticed a board in front of the building full of adventurous tasks for visitors. It was a great way to get involved in the community here at Paris and enjoy its surroundings and people.
One task or challenge that Marlon found was to jog around the city and be a good influence to others. Marlon enjoyed jogging, so he changed into his workout clothes and started his jog. Marlon loved the idea! This gave him a great chance to enjoy the sites, sounds, and smells of Paris.
After he was done, Marlon checked in with the person who posted the task. She rewarded him with coin that could be used to purchase things in the gift shop.
Marlon was rather enjoying this. He decided to pick up another task for a young woman who was really nervous to ask a man out on a date. She needed someone to go and ask for her. Marlon met Jean Luc, who was an extremely nice man. It turned out that he really liked the woman too.
Marlon reported back to the young woman and his success of talking with Jean Luc. The date was set!
And Marlon was getting tired. Must be the jet lag. I'm going to sleep well and get an early start tomorrow, he thought. |
