Day 67: One Final Day of Rest

It was Marlon's last day in France. He was going to enjoy every last bit of it. After having some breakfast, he walked outside and spoke to another traveler. Apparently she was getting away from her spouse too. Marlon enjoyed her company, and each of them had some great laughs together.
Marlon was grateful for the scooter that was loaned to him during his stay in France. He was going to make one more stop for the day, and it was going to be a return trip to the winery.
Marlon didn't get a chance to play with the machine the last time he was here. Not this time! He was going to make his own wine this time, and he simply enjoyed the squishing the fruit in between his toes. This was certainly going to stain his skin for a few days.
Once all the grapes had been squashed, he proceeded to crank the machine up to process the wine.
It broke down, however. Marlon was thankful for his skills in mechanics, because he was able to repair the machine and get it going with no trouble.
He didn't think his wine turned out very well, though. It was his first batch, anyway. He was sure to improve! He just needed to come back again. He may have to if life continued to be a mess at home. Maybe he'll bring Temeka with him this time. He felt like he needed to spend time with his daughter a bit more.
Before leaving, Marlon went downstairs into the cellar and had found a well. It was full of wine, but he thought it would be fun to go for a dive when nobody was looking. He'd smell like a drunk, but then everyone visiting here smelled like that.
Evening approached, and Marlon wanted to get away from the base camp. He wanted to make his own camp, and he found just the spot! It was quiet, secluded, and had a wonderful firepit. He warmed himself, roasted some food, and had a nap before it was time to head back home. He wasn't looking forward to what was awaiting him.
